Pope Urbain the 2nd statue in Chatillon-sur-Marne

Pope Urbain the 2nd statue is located in Chatillon-sur-Marne.
Urbain the 2nd became pope in 1088, he is known for starting the first crusade in 1096. He also obtained that French kings would be sacred in the Cathedral of Reims. He died in 1099 in Rome.
His statue is visible from afar thanks to its 9 meters of height, 25 m with the base. This statue was inaugurated in 1887

Véloroute (bike road) of the Valley of the Marne

Build along side of the Marne canal, this bike road cross, between Condé and Cumière, the Champagne vineyard and all of the Marne valley’s treasures.
This road is now about 50 km long (31 miles), goes from Tours sur Marne to Dormans, with little elevation gain, entirely asphalted, it passes through many municipalities and touristic sites.
